Quran lays a great emphasis on building and nurturing social relations. One of the ways to nurture relations is to always speak nicely and gently and kindly.
Our relations within families as well as in organizations are determined by quality of our communication skills. What we say does not matter but how we say matters a lot. Harsh, sarcastic, cynical and unkind words systematically eat away the healthy relations. The wound caused by sword can be healed but the wounds of unkind words never heal.
Next time when you speak in your meetings and draft your next memo or email, consciously choose words that are kinder, gentler and nicer and observe the results of divine advice.
