In chapter 3, verse 134, Quran describes the criteria of friendship with Allah. The verse explains that those who control their anger are friends of Allah and are close to Him.

Anger is a great disease. It kills relations and health. Islam lays great emphasis on controlling anger. Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) is reported to have asked from his followers. “Who is the wrestler?” Companions said: “One who defeats the opponent in arena“. Prophet said, “No, wrestler is one who controls his anger.” Anger makes the people regret later on.

Speak when you are angry and you will make the best speech you will ever regret.
