Akio Morita, founder of Japanese giant company Sony Corporation, writes a joke in his autobiography Made in Japan ….the joke carries a great wisdom in it.
An American and Japanese are strolling in a thick jungle. While they’re talking on host of issues of mutual interest and enjoying their walk amid the mysteries of nature, the American sees a ferocious lion running towards them and nudges the Japanese beckoning towards the wild animal. The Japanese immediately sits down like an athlete and begins putting on his running shoes.
“If you think you can outrun a hungry lion,” scoffed the American, “You’re a fool.”
“I don’t have to outrun that hungry lion,” said the Japanese. “I only have to outrun you.”
