There was a barrage of rumors since February 2011 about Chinese internet commerce giant Alibaba acquiring traffic stats company CNZZ. A spokeswoman from Alibaba Group confirmed with media that the deal has been finalized. With the acquisition, Alibaba will have carte blanche in the field of B2B online business.

CNZZ is a company that serves small and medium sized Internet companies. Their business fits with Alibaba Group’s mission and hope that they can better serve these small businesses in the future.
Chinese media had been reporting  the acquisition last week citing CNZZ,  saying that Alibaba paid out $15 million for the company. It may be mentioned that 1.6 million websites use CNZZ’s services each day.
